PERSONAL QUESTIONS:
What
bands were you in prior to Tooth & Nail?
Nimbus Obi, Sins Of The Flesh (both on
drums) dozens of cover bands (bass & drums) .
Have
you ever taken lessons?
I never took drum lessons (wish I had);
I have had a few bass lessons though.
What
was your first live appearance?
My first band (I was 13, I think) played
for free for the local school for "special" kids.
They dug it, we had our first "gig". Pretty cool for a
13 year old..
What
was the first instrument you had?
I
used to play this P.O.S. hollow-body violin-shaped bass. It would
feed back given any opportunity.
Really, just horrible. I eventually saved up some money and
bought a Peavey bass and amp.
How
many instruments do you play?
Bass, drums, I sing a little, I can tune
& strum some basic guitar chords and find middle C on a
keyboard.
What
was the first concert you ever attended?
1975,
I think, Styx at the fairgrounds in El Centro. It rocked! .
If you
couldn't play music, what would you do?
I
would probably have stayed in the Marine Corps, retired,
and...who knows?
What
would you consider the Top 10 hard rock / heavy metal albums of
all time?
IN
A PARTICULAR ORDER...
Van Halen - Van Halen Deep Purple - Machine Head Metallica - Master of Puppets UFO - Strangers In The Night Black Sabbath - Heaven & Hell |
Dio - Holy Diver Van Halen - Fair Warning Rush - All The World's A Stage Thin Lizzy - Live & Dangerous Judas Priest- Unleashed In The East |
Any
dream sponsors?
I love the stuff I use: Zon
Basses, Trace-Elliot Amps & Speakers, DR strings, Monster
Cable,
Karl Straus Brewery
Lastly,
what are your future goals for Tooth & Nail?
Sell enough CD's to find out
that people still know good rock & roll when they hear it
&
Get a gig that pays enough to c lear out mine & Steve's bar
tabs.
