PERSONAL QUESTIONS:
What
bands have you been in and what were their accomplishments if
any?
Different line-ups of my high school
band, which eventually signed to a Japanese label in 1994 and put
out a release and played a few dates in Japan & Korea. I also
had a minor excursion into another band as a bass player and we
were briefly signed to Geffen Records in 1990.
What
was your first live appearance?
Playing drums with my best friend on
piano to The Beatles "Yesterday" in seventh grade at a
music recital.
I was absolutely scared out of my mind and almost threw up right
before we went on.
What
was the first instrument you had?
An
old set of Ludwig drums that my uncle bought for me when I was
13. I still have them!
How
many instruments do you play?
Guitar, bass, drums and piano-(just a
enough to write songs).
What
was the first concert you ever attended?
Van
Halen at Madison Square Garden, NYC 1981- Fair Warning Tour. The
ticket was $11.50 for great seats!
If you
couldn't play music, what would you do?
Own
my own recording studio and produce bands. (that's where the real
money is!)
What
is your songwriting style?
I'm a big sponge with influences so a
song can have a little of a lot of sounds. I have songs with
Beatles influenced melodies with a Van Halen groove and Classical
counterpoints. Though their not overly obvious. I listen to so
many different things it's hard to pin down where songs come
from. Basically wherever my head says the song should go.
Whatever sounds good or cool to my ears.
Any
dream sponsors?
Shure Microphones, Randall Amps,
Jackson Guitars, M&M's & Snapple Beverages.
Lastly,
what are your future goals?
To write and record the best
music possible, play the best shows and dare I say it?... Rule
the World!
